We made in July 2012, the puffin run. It was an incredibly beautiful natural experience. We saw porpoises basking shark, shags, gulls, cormorants, minke whales, razor bills, puffins, a golden eagle and robben and shot hundreds of photos. Many thanks to our skipper, who explained us everything wonderful. We can absolutely recommend this trip. Go to scotland - a wonderful country! Uli and Susanne from Germany

My girlfriend and I took both the Bella Jane and AquaXplore trips and both were excellent. Bella Jane was a nice relaxed trip, with an informative guide and a chance to visit a part of the Loch we might not otherwise have seen. AquaXplore was an exhilarating ride as well as a way to explore the island of Rum. Worth every penny!

Thanks for the superb ride in to Dibidil on Rhum. I know you can't arange the conditions whcih were superb but everything was on time and well organised with due attention to safety. Pickup also bang on so top marks from us. If you haven't got time to stay over or don't fancy the long walk out to Kinloch (and you can afford it) this is the way to do it. I took the boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk on Thursday 17th of February 2011 with my boyfriend Mark. It was the most magical experience I have ever had, we were so luck with the weather, saw deer eating seaweed off the shores and many common seals lazing in the sun. Loch Coruisk was truly stunning and definitely the highlight of our holiday and my first visit to Skye. Many thanks to the BellaJane crew for such a wonderful trip.

October isn't the best time of year for seeing wildlife but that really didn't matter. Our trip on Bella Jane to Loch Coruisk was perfect, right from the word go. Once on board our guide briefly described the local geography, geology, history - both natural and otherwise - with a professional verve and enthusiasm, and a lightness of touch, that could neither bore nor bemuse. And what a good idea - after the walk around the loch - to provide a revitalising hot drink on the return leg of the journey. As for the wildlife, it was better than I expected; lots of common seals, several bird species and the bonus of a brief cameo appearance by two golden eagles. And I now understand for the first time - again thanks to our guide - why seals lie banana-like on rocks in the way that they do. A great trip!

We too went to Canna on Thursday 31st of May, and had an unforgetable day, with the weather, the wildlife, the boat and the skipper. But we also went on the same trip on Tuesday, a good journey to Soay, a slightly more choppy one across to Rum, and then as the wind got up we got soaked going across to Canna. One American lady found this rather too much and wanted to return to Elgol immediately. The skipper took us back as smoothly as possible, and met the Bella Jane at Lock Coruisk, where she got off. He then took us round the loch to see seals the bad step etc. Our children, 10 and 8 who had found the whole trip exciting were dissappointed not to see the bird cliffs at Canna. When we mentioned this at the Kiosk, we were told we could come again on Thursday. so we had two wonderful and very different trips in three days. Thank you.

Just a few words to say how impressed we all were with your boat trips to Loch Coruisk. We sailed with you - 4 adults two children and a dog, last Friday. The refreshments were a lovely litle treat and most welcome. What really warmed our hearts, however, was the wonderful experience you gave to kids on the trip by letting them 'skipper' the boat - and to cap it all the lovely surprise of the certificates given at the end. Our grandson Cameron (11), as is usual with him, was too bashful to accept the offer on the outward trip but had second thoughts on the homeward trip and his dad asked Allun if Cam could have a go. He must have spent a good twenty minutes or more at the helm on the way back - and was so thrilled. All these kids I'm sure will remember and treasure their experiences - we know that Cameron will ! I sincerely hope we sail with you again. Thank you so much and very best wishes from us all.

Fantastic; We enjoyed the trip to Canna so much we came back and did it again next day. Sarah was an excellent skipper making us feel really welcome. Look forward to seeing you again when we are back in August.

Friends of ours are holidaying on Skye this summer (lucky things) so I'm running off details of Bella Jane for them as I'm ordering them to have a trip on her. We've enjoyed 3 or 4 trips on her and would never tire of such a wonderful day out. Donald is so friendly and helpful, happy to answer any questions we have, no matter how obscure. I wish I was going with them, but there will be other visits in the future. Have a good summer!

Got chatting with a fisherman in a tea-shop in Craobh Haven late last August, and he was waxing lyrical about trips on the Bella Jane (and I took notes!) It has taken me a while to get around to doing a quick "Google" to find you, but now I have, you can be sure I will pay you a visit next trip up! (Which won't be long!) TTFN...

Had 3 fantastic boat trips, 1 on the Bella Jane, 2 on the Aquaexplore which were the best yet. Donald and Sarah always give you trips to remember. We will be back again.

Loch Coruisk-"There are many ways of reaching it. The easiest is to land at LochScavaig by the tourist steamer, proceed leaisurely over the rocks, and stand wonderingly on the margin of the Coruisk for fifteen minutes, while the steamers solitary gun awakes the thunderous echoes of the mountains." from The Misty Isle of Skye by J A Macculloch 1904. How fantastic to read this now after taking an unforgettable trip on the Bella Jane this August. If you can you should take this trip.
